The Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA)
is a trade association, formed in 1968 to provide programs
and services, as well as to support the interests of metal
building contractors and erectors. The MBCEA proudly boasts
membership from virtually every segment of the metal buildings

The New England Chapter (NEC) was formed to better serve the
needs of contractors and erectors doing business in the Northeast.
Membership in the MBCEA-NEC grants you the opportunity to become

Greetings from the President of the MBCEA-NEC (New England Chapter)
Welcome to the New England Chapter of the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association, which celebrated 40 successful years as a national association in 2008! Our mission: “To support the professional advancement of the Metal Building Contractors, Erectors and our Industry.”
It’s an honor and privilege for me to represent the New England Chapter of the MBCEA. I have been involved with the association for over 10 years and have met some amazing people from across the country. It’s these relationships that have helped me learn and grow as well as benefit our company. I am very excited to continue expanding the organization with the help of the board and people like you!
The MBCEA-NEC’s goal is to provide members with training and educational events that help separate us from the crowd and keep us on the cutting edge. We will continue this effort with a horizontal panel training in March and a safety educational seminar in May presented by OSHA.
We will also continue to expand on green building, LEED certification and high R insulation systems. In today’s economy and with the new codes, this is instrumental to us continuing to maintain our foothold in the low rise construction industry. New modules will be produced as part of the Quality and Craftsman DVD Training series regarding these and other topics. We are always looking for new ideas for educational and training topics so please, if there is something specific you think needs attention or you want to see a topic expanded upon please submit your ideas.
We plan to expand our benefits to the members including safety awards, scholarships, and builder of the year. These combined with existing benefits like our Mentoring Program, Health Benefit Program, Extended Stay Hotel Partnership and Peer Group Program have helped our local membership increase by 50%! So let’s keep the momentum going.
