Vital Statistics
A professor once told me, “Statistics don’t lie…but you can lie with statistics.” Please, just trust me and please do read on!
A significant 87% of architects depend on manufacturers and associations for guidance on their products, services, and industry categories. Additionally, 90% of architects are eager to establish strategic relationships. However, less than 60% of product and service leaders are aware of these needs.
Well-executed educational offerings provide an excellent opportunity to connect with architects while educating them about what we as an industry offer. Many architects prefer face-to-face interactions, such as "lunch and learns," as one of their favorite ways to engage and embrace innovative ideas.
I would like to invite you to volunteer to deliver a continuing education course, as they can be incredibly valuable for several reasons:
- Professional Development: It enhances your own knowledge and skills as you prepare and present the course material. Teaching others often deepens your understanding of the subject.
- Reputation and Network Building: By sharing your expertise, you position yourself as a thought leader and expert in your field. This can enhance your professional reputation and credibility. Connecting and building relationships with architects can lead to future collaborations and opportunities.
- Staying Current: Preparing for and delivering courses requires you to stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices, ensuring you remain at the forefront of our industry.
The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) and the International Accreditation Service (IAS) both have American Institute of Architects (AIA) approved courses, and support MBCEA members to learn more of them and the presentation practices!
Volunteering can be a mutually beneficial experience, enriching both your professional life and the architectural community. Call me, and let’s get you started!
Architects are keen to hear from us. This is 100% true, believe me!
