President's Message - May '24
Our 55th Annual MBCEA Conference led us to San Diego, and the Rancho Bernardo Inn. “Craft Your Story” is the inn’s slogan and quite insightful for this newsletter, and our industry.
With the Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) we are meticulously crafting our story of our industry's evolution and innovation. With each session, workshop, and networking opportunity, we weave together the threads of expertise, collaboration, and forward-thinking vision. As we gather, we celebrate not just our achievements but also the collective journey towards excellence. From a Phillip Van Hooser keynote that inspired us to interactive discussions that sparked new ideas, to an MBCEA app, every moment was an opportunity shaping our story. Together, we are architects of change, sculpting a narrative that champions safety, fosters progress, and propels our industry to new heights!

Please join me in extending heartfelt gratitude to Executive Director Sasha Demyan for the exceptional orchestration of this meeting. Sasha’s successful lead is crafted with many team commitments and tireless execution. A second layer of thank you goes to Britain Graver, and Savannah Maldonado (MBMA), for their care and guiding, all with precision and smiles!
Honoring achievements is an important part of our Conference tradition, and this year’s recipients certainly raised the roof(line). I am proud to share the following:

Attending to our future is a responsibility of us all. The progress of the Metal Building Assembler curriculum being developed with the NCCER was showcased, and spawned significant monetary support. Our latest generous contributors; Span Construction (Innovator: $75,000), Nucor Buildings Group (Leader: $50,000), S&S Structures (Friend: $15,000) and Mac Con Company ($5,000).
