We are seeking qualified and experienced Steel Erectors to join our team in the Cayman Islands. This is a unique opportunity to live and work in a tax-neutral jurisdiction. An approved Cayman Islands work permit will be provided; however, applicants must have a clean criminal record, including no DUIs. If English is not your first language, a TOEIC English test will be required (sample test available upon request).

Job Description:

We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience in the installation of complete structural systems for both primary and secondary steel. The role involves working with insulated panels (IMP), various wall and roof panel systems, SSR systems, insulation, trims, gutters, downspouts, man doors, roll-up doors, and other related pre-engineered building erection tasks.

General Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in pre-engineered metal building construction.
  • Extensive experience with various PEMB manufacturers, including Butler Buildings.
  • Proficiency in various roofing systems, including re-roof systems, IMP, and SSR/MR24 roof systems.
  • Experience with metal wall cladding, including various PBR systems, IMP systems, building accessories, and roll-up doors.
  • Willingness to work on small projects and repairs between larger building projects.
  • Strong team player with adherence to all safety regulations.
  • Physically fit and able to work in humid tropical conditions.
  • Ability to work within scheduled timelines while ensuring a high standard of quality. 
  • Experienced in using man lifts, heavy lifting, and rigging equipment, and working with harnesses and lanyards.
  • Proficiency with cutting torches and steel cutting equipment.
  • Must maintain a clean police record and be drug-free.

Additional Skills:

  • Safety and training certifications (please provide supporting documents).
  • Welding experience is beneficial. If you hold a welding certification, please include it in your application.
  • Concrete flatwork or any other specialty trade experience is an asset; please specify in your application.
  • All other trade experience is an asset, please specify.

Remuneration:

  • Hourly wage of USD 23.00 to $30.00 per hour.
  • Health and pension benefits as per Cayman Islands law.
